BHP Laboratories provides a comprehensive Slip/Skid resistance testing service. All testing is carried and out in accordance with EN 13036-4 and is fully accredited to ISO 17025 by INAB. Every day in Ireland five people are hurt in work place slips, trips and falls. Facilities managers, local authorities and building owners are under obligation to ensure the floor or surface of the traffic route is not slippery so there is no risk of injury to any person. This is enforced by the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 Further more Over a third of all major injuries reported each year are caused as a result of a slip or trip. Health and Safety Executive statistics suggest that there is one serious slip accident every 3 minutes. BHP provides both on-site testing and in house analysis in our laboratory.
